Government & Policy
Indian Forest Service (IFS) is one of the three Government of India All India Services. The other two branches are the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS). The key responsibility of the IFS is to enforce the National Forest Policy. The policy aims to ensure the environmental stability of the country through participatory sustainable management and the conservation of natural resources.
Civil Service is the permanent structure responsible for carrying out the administration of the country. This service is regulated and operated by 'elected officials' of the people and in compliance with the rules and principles. In India, the civil service structure is the executive branch of the Republic of India and serves as the backbone of the country's administrative machinery. The primary role of civil service officers is to enact policies and provide services.
City planners, also known as urban planners, are revitalising neighbourhoods by planning to modernise or conserve land within city limits. They forecast how the city will evolve by evaluating population growth and partnering with communities to determine their infrastructure needs and ensure a community-based approach to urban development.
Pollsters, also known as survey analysts, typically work for research organisations or educational institutions. They perform public opinion polling for candidates, elected and appointed government officials, advocacy groups, and businesses. Pollsters use their expert knowledge of statistical analysis, polling methodology, and social attitudes to challenge representative sampling of the general population or specific demographic groups on important public issues.
Public Administration consultants concentrate on providing policy proposals for meeting targets, deadlines, and so on within a government agency. Public administration officials enact, supervise, organise and direct the policies and actions of governments at different levels, including local, county, state, and federal levels. They are generally employed in the fields of labour, law, finance, education, and health care.
The Indian Administration Service (IAS) is a branch of the Indian Civil Service. It is one of the chief services of the Government of India. The role of the IAS officer is to manage the various administrative affairs of the Government. Their job includes policy-making and advising ministers on various issues, maintaining law and order, overseeing the implementation of the policies of the State Government and the Central Government, collecting revenues and acting as courts in revenue matters, overseeing the expenditure of public funds by the norms of financial property and dealing with the day-to-day affairs of the Government.
Social Service workers have a statutory responsibility to protect and support the health of vulnerable children and adults and may offer a wide variety of services to children and their parents, usually within the home setting and managed by a social worker. Depending on their specialisation, they can work in colleges, government departments, hospitals, mental health clinics, and community centres.
A Diplomat is someone who is appointed by a nation-state to represent and protect that nation's interests abroad with regards to issues of peace and war, trade and economics, culture, environment, human rights and also negotiate treaties and international agreements before they are officially endorsed.
A Lobbyist works to influence political policy by petitioning government leaders and lawmakers, voters, other lawmakers, or associations—lobbying companies, which are similar to public relations firms and government legislators. Lobbyists educate government officials and corporate officers and participate in advertising campaigns, and work to influence opinion leaders.
