  • Forensic Psychology is a very nascent field- Research and work in the field of Forensic Psychology started not earlier than 50 years ago. 

  • Eye witness testimony- Criminal Psychology has done extesive reasearh and determined that eye witness testimomy is not as reliable as previously thouhgt. It is affected by whether or not a weapon is invloved, how long the witness saw the attacker for and even the race of the witness and attacker.

  • TV Shows like Criminal Minds are not Accurate descriptions of the profession- A forensic psychologist does a lot more that what is shown in poular media. The job often involves a lot of paperwork too!
