Forensic Psychology is a very nascent field- Research and work in the field of Forensic Psychology started not earlier than 50 years ago.
Eye witness testimony- Criminal Psychology has done extesive reasearh and determined that eye witness testimomy is not as reliable as previously thouhgt. It is affected by whether or not a weapon is invloved, how long the witness saw the attacker for and even the race of the witness and attacker.
TV Shows like Criminal Minds are not Accurate descriptions of the profession- A forensic psychologist does a lot more that what is shown in poular media. The job often involves a lot of paperwork too!
