PLANS & PRICING
The difference is in both training and scope of practice, but more obviously in approach. Physical Therapists tend to focus on rehabilitation and exercises that will help your body to recover from injury, and usually require a patient to have a prescription from a medical doctor. Chiropractors will try to remove obstacles that may be hindering your body's natural ability to heal. Chiropractors are trained in diagnosis and conservative care. This is not limited to the spine or to segmental dysfunction/subluxation. They will use chiropractic adjustments, lifestyle change, nutrition, diet, exercise, supplements, acupuncture, etc to enable your body's maximum health. They are trained as primary care physicians, and while most do not practice in that way (they usually act as musculoskeletal specialists) they can be your first point of contact for any health condition. Similar to medical doctors that practice general medicine, Chiropractors have training in dermatology, gynecology, pediatrics, etc. and just as when going to a medical General Practioner, they refer you out to the appropriate specialist.
